Meet Jean and Tom

Jean understands health. As a nurse and executive responsible for a large team of health care professionals she has to. Yet, her personal story is touching and poignant in the way her journey personifies the struggles and roadblocks faced by many people in the heath care system as they strive for wellness in their own lives and the lives of their patients.

Jean also describes a breakthrough that she had during one of the bonus sessions, The Emotional Belly with Anne Berube, and how she believes a simple shift in perspective will change the way she approaches her own health empowerment.

It was wonderful to get to know her and her husband Tom (not pictured as he was very skilled at avoiding our cameras). Like many couples, families and friends on the Wheat Belly Cruise they were there to support each other and deepen their understanding of the material in a way that would make real and lasting change in their lives.

Meet Bonnie and Mike

Patrols and stakeouts went hand and hand with junk food, and a stressful carrier in law enforcement took its toll on Mike’s body.

In this short video you will hear about his rapid transformation and how he and his wife Bonnie found their way back to health with the Wheat Belly Lifestyle.

You’ll also hear their thoughts on the cruise as a way to deepen their understanding of the material, find inspiration from other participants, and take their opportunity to pick Dr. Davis’ brain!

Meet Dr. Stephen Brunton

Another inspirational participant from our 2015 Cruise, Dr. Brunton is a board-certified family physician, with a certificate of added qualifications in geriatrics. A former president of the California Academy of Family Physicians and the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors, Dr Brunton has held many positions within the American Academy of Family Physicians.

As a practicing physician, Dr. Brunton is interested in the scientific basis of the Wheat Belly lifestyle, as well as the day to day application. In this short video he shares his perspective on the cruise and Wheat Belly in general.

Meet Frank and Lois

Frank and Lois celebrated their 55th anniversary during our cruise. It was such a pleasure to get to know this couple and to hear about the amazing work they are doing in their community. They've started a church group dedicated to health empowerment through the lifestyle changes recommended in Dr. Davis's books. The results have been outstanding, and we'll share more of that story in a future video blog post.

In this short video Frank and Lois share their experience of the Wheat Belly Cruise and they address one of our more controversial issues: Is the ship wheat free?

We met some amazing people and heard some fantastic stories on this cruise. It is truly inspirational to learn about the changes that occurred in their lives and communities. Having overcome a variety of health challenges they live life with a renewed sense of vitality and optimism that is nothing short of contagious.
